Safe e-Banking
With the Netbanking facilities offered by most of the Banks,
we are in a position to do banking operations right from our homes. That’s
banking on our finger-tips !
But, of late, cybercrimes are on the rise, making our
banking unsafe. It’s mostly our careless attitude that we make our e-banking prone to frauds. The banks
have publicized a lot of DOs and DONTs regarding e-banking. However, here are a
few very IMPORTANT points to be noted and adhered to.
Never hand over your ATM/Credit/Debit card to someone else ,
to swipe or handle on your behalf.
Never share your PIN number or passwords to anyone.
Never write down the PIN number on the card.
At sales outlets/petrol bunks, if you use your card, DO NOT
give the card and PIN to the attendant. Instead, swipe and punch the PIN
yourself.
Register your mobile phone number with the Bank. They’ll
send you a message for every transaction
you had. This way, you will know of any fraudulent transactions too.
Keep changing your Net-banking password and PIN number
frequently.
