7CPC Pension fixation based on Notional Pay – Procedure envisaged by Finance Ministry for revising 7CPC Pension following decision taken by Govt to amend option 1 on the basis of Notional Pay calculated on the basis of Last Pay drawn by the Pensioner

Instructions are now given , vide this OM, to various agencies involved, for realising the pension revision and payments.

You might be rejoicing ...on the recent two revision orders !  That's the new "via media" pay matrix and then the new revised Pay Matrix.

I am sure most of you are confused and must be worrying to know how to compute  your  new revised Pension.  Some of the web sites dealing with Govt staff and Pensioners have given sample calculations. But, sorry to say, that's all a blunder !

But believe me , the computation is not complex, if you have your data correctly with you.

Revised 7CPC  Pay Matrix for Civilian Central Government Employees and Defence Personnel – Finance Ministry Resolution dated 16.05.2017 – Changes made in Pay Matrix in level 13 (GP 8700) for revising fitment Factor from 2.57 to 2.67

Fitment Factor in Level 12A and 13 of 7CPC Defence Pay Matrix has been enhanced from 2.57 to 2.67

The Stages of Level 10B and Level 12 of Defence Pay Matrix (MNS) and corresponding levels of pay in pay matrix have been changed.

The Index of Rationalisation of Level-13 of Civil Pay Matrix shall also be enhanced from 2.57 to 2.67. Accordingly, the Civil Pay Matrix as contained in Annexure-1 mentioned in para 6 of the aforesaid Resolution dated the 25th July, 2016 shall be revised. The revised Civil Pay Matrix is at Appendix-1;

TDS - pensioners' woes

Why is that our Banks are behaving so illogical ? Why are they so cruel to the Senior Citizens ?

There is a  rule that TDS / Advance tax need not be collected from Senior Citizens (having no business or professional income ).  But Banks are deaf and dumb towards this. Inspite of specific requests for non-deduction from pension receipts, Banks continue to hurt the Pensioners. Why is this so ???

Now , another cruel act by Banks. They deduct 10% blindly !  Even from those in the lowest tax bracket !!
