IL, AL, SN, and CCRC

IL, AL,  SN, and CCRC
Reading double Dutch ? No, it’s nothing to confuse you !  These acronyms are a must know for you. If you are a senior person ( read ‘Senior Citizen ), it’s a must that you know IL, AL, and the rest.  You would need this anytime now, if not late yet.

IL  is Senior Living , or technically Independent Living. Typically a concept pertaining to the age bracket 50+ years, where active adults are able to take care of themselves and generally do not have serious health issues.
AL is Assisted Living, and  pertains to adults  aged 65 and above. They usually need assistance with daily activities, but do not require nursing care at home .

SLSN is Senior Living with Skilled Nursing. These Seniors would need assistance in daily routines and Skilled Nursing care.

CCRC is Continuing Care Retirement Community. This category, as you rightly guess, needs Skilled Nursing Care on a continuing basis (ie. Everyday/everytime, as the case may be ).

Each of these category requires certain requirements for a senior living site/space.

Residential projects for Senior Citizens are to consider all these categories.
