No more 33 years, But yes more 20 years

Delinking of Revised Pension from 33 years of qualifying service.

Did you go through the OM dated 6th April, on this matter ?

I must tell you that this is an ill-drafted communication.   We all know that the minimum qualification service of 20 years remain ( as per 6CPC ). But, in plain words, the order says that a Pre-2006 pensioner will get full pension irrespective of his length of service. The fact remains (but not clearly stated in this OM) that  the pensioner has to complete the minimum qualifying service of 20 years ( just as for Post 2006 pensioners).

But , the local media is celebrating the news as if  full pension is for all in Govt service (irrespective of length of service).

  1. I think the fact is since the pro-rata concept is taken away for pre-2006 pensioners, all prorata pensioners above 10 years if qualifying service is entitled for the revision to full pension.
